Phoebe S. Sorial

Phoebe Sorial graduated from Rutgers University in 1997 with a joint Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies. She subsequently received her Juris Doctor Degree from Rutgers-Newark School of Law in May, 2000. During her tenure at Rutgers, Phoebe was the Managing Business Editor of the Computer and Technology Law Journal.

Phoebe commenced her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Rudy B. Coleman, Judge of the Appellate Division, Superior Court of New Jersey. After her clerkship, Phoebe focused her practice on insurance coverage litigation involving first party, third party, environmental coverage and corporate defense litigation including products liability and toxic torts. In 2003, she joined Saiber, LLC where she represented corporate clients in large scale complex contractual litigation. Notably, because of her fluency in the Arabic language, Phoebe represented the Egyptian government in a protracted contractual dispute regarding its right to internationally broadcast its Arabic television programs.

Phoebe also has extensive experience in handling products liability litigation and her previous corporate representation has included manufacturers of firearms and skin care products. She has served as counsel to a national foodservice distributor in cases involving food safety, employment compliance, premises liability and other related legal issues. In addition, she has served as counsel for insurance companies, state agencies, public entities and other clientele in state and federal courts, as well as administrative tribunals.

Before joining Bavol Judge, Phoebe served as Associate Counsel with Corcoran & Associates, Inc., a Florida government relations firm. In that capacity, she advised corporate, non-profit and public sector clients on legislative strategy, alliance and relationship building, government relations and crisis communications. She met with legislative delegates regarding her clients' legislative and regulatory issues and participated in securing Senate and House sponsorship for proposed legislation. In 2009, Phoebe joined Bavol Judge, PA where she concentrates her practice in the areas of general civil and complex product litigation, as well as the defense of medical and dental malpractice claims.

In addition to being a member of the Florida Bar, Phoebe is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
